Extensive knowledge of the energy, research, refractory, chemical and aluminum industries (including mining, smelting and downstream fabrication).

Former Vice-President, Corporate Environmental Affairs, Health, Safety, Product Stewardship and Operational Integrity for Kaiser Aluminum & Chemical Corporation. Responsible globally for EHS strategic planning & program development; risk assessments; quality assurance processes; crisis management; due diligence; benchmarking of best practices; review and interpretation of governmental regulations/legislation; internal & external interfaces on major risk and product issues; and executive briefings. Direct line management responsibility for 20 discontinued sites in varying stages of environmental remediation cleanup and sales, as well as 90 superfund sites. Responsible for overall operational issues; assurance auditing; due diligence; disposition; risk management related matters (litigation support, liability management of sites not sold, agreements); and interfaces with customers, community, neighboring businesses, government and the media.
